| So there’s this big trucker that comes in, he’s probably in his 50s or 60s and he’s always jolly and sweet. I'm not a big fan of most of the truckers that come in and usually stick to the fake smile and hi and hope they don't stop and talk to me, which is a bad habit I know. But this guy's different for me, I’ve had good talks with this guy before, he saw my pics from Jamaica and asked me all about that and just thought it was so wonderful. This morning he came limping in (from spending too much time in dat der truck he tells me) all smiley as usual, went back to shipping and got his paperwork then on the way out he stopped at my desk and said he just had to talk to me. I'm not exactly a bucket of sunshine in the morning and this morning especially I just wasn't in the mood to talk, especially since his cologne was wafting over the counter way to strong. But I did the fake smile and told him to go ahead. .He said he knows a white lady in her 50s that adopted two girls from Haiti and he just had to think of me since he knew I was in Haiti for a year (I told him it was Jamaica but he said it was close enough). She adopted them off the streets when they were little and they’re in high school now and there names are Joy and Jubilee. He just kept repeating Joy and Jubilee what a blessing. He said he just loves to hear about people doing things like that cause it takes such a big heart to do that and it just blesses him deep into his heart. So I told him bout my sister adopting a little girl from Jamaica. You would have thought I just gave him $100. His face just lit up and he was just so happy. It just touched me so much that he was so happy and touched by someone adopting a little girl that he never met and didn't know anything about. That other people's love and sacrifice meant so much to him. As he walked away I just sat there smiling. My mood had turned a complete 180. He had brightened my day and blessed me just with his joy and blessing. I pray that I can be more like him. Not to sit here crabby and not wanting to talk but eager to show others my joy and bless others by taking the time to talk to them just like he did for me. | | |

| Happy Valentine's Day -Warning: This may be cheesy to some of you so if you don't like that than don't read on I can't say I ever looked forward to Valentine's day in the past, I may even say I dreaded it. It's pretty much a day for couples and if you're not part of a couple than how fun is that? Well this year sure changed that for me. I had a wonderful day and a wonderful date with my favorite person. I'm so thankful for all I have and the amazing man God has blessed me with. It all started off with a dozen roses surprising me on my dresser. (yes, I know I'm spoiled)
Then we got all dressed up and went to the 356 Fighter Group and out to see Fools Gold.
I'm one happy woman thanks to this man I love you Raph with all my heart | | |
